PROGRAM & SCHEDULE

All times are listed in Eastern Time

The ECPA Leadership Summit will be held in two locations in the heart of Philadelphia. Our event hotel, the Hilton Penn’s Landing along the Waterfront, will host Tuesday’s sessions and the ECPA Awards Celebration event that evening. On Wednesday, attendees will take a lovely stroll to the American Bible Society headquarters in Philadelphia’s historic district -- right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell -- to enjoy the rest of the program. We encourage you to plan your time with these special proximities in mind, including the new Faith and Liberty Discovery Center located in the ABS building. (Reservations required.)

ATTENDEES WILL SELECT A SESSION DURING REGISTRATION

Pursuing Multiethnicity in your Publishing House
In November 2020, Publishers Weekly reported that InterVarsity Press (IVP) was the home of the "most comprehensive program" among evangelical publishing houses with regard to pursuing diversity both within the organization as well as through its publishing. In addition to its legacy and heritage of publishing authors of color, what are the other ways in which IVP has continued to stretch itself in its commitment to multiethnicity? This session led by Helen Lee, IVP’s director of product innovation, will examine several recent efforts that IVP has undertaken to continue its commitment to elevate voices of color, including its Every Voice Now initiative and recent forays into podcasting (The Disrupters, Get in The Word with Truth's Table, The Every Voice Now Podcast) and address why such efforts are important for the long-term benefit of the organization, as well as for the readers and authors we as publishers serve.

    Elevating Customer Interest
Led by Ben Amundgaard, senior director of Bible Study Products at Faithlife, and Jesse Myers, director of original content at Faithlife and publisher of Lexham Press, this breakout session will offer practical examples of how publishers can find and serve niche customer markets and use data to create products that are relevant to those customers.

    Elevating Church Engagement and Innovation
Led by Devin Maddox, Trade Books Publisher, B&H Publishing Group and director of books ministry, Lifeway, this breakout session will explore how publishers have been effective in creating a relationship with churches to meet their ministry needs. It will include discussion of shifting church practices that will require innovation and flexibility as solution creators develop resources for the future.
